The news has been relatively slow for the Des Moines Register over the last week or so.  The Iowa Legislature has less on its plate than previous years and Iowa’s news is generally good news – which isn’t as newsworthy.

So, last week, the Register apparently hired Captain Obvious to write some stories for them.  Here is a run down of the stories that have been posted recently that lead me to believe there must be next to nothing going on in Iowa these days:

Pro-Choice Doctor Makes Pro-Choice Statements

Catholic Priest is Pro-Life!

A few days later, the Register followed up with this:

66% of Iowans Support Webcam Abortion Ban

The ban on webcam abortion is so obviously supported by Iowans, there is only one thing left to do – pass the bill.

It’s time for the Iowa Senate to take up HF2175 (webcam abortion ban) and send it to the Governor for his signature.  It passed the House with a bipartisan vote, Iowans are behind this bill, and Iowans will be behind legislators backing it.  Iowans should email their Senator and ask them to support HF 2175.
