David Young released his first ad in the Iowa 3rd Congressional District primary race on Monday.

In the ad, Young states that despite President Obama promising us hope, he has instead “ripped apart our economy, shredded our healthcare system, and crumbled our national security.”

At the end of the ad, Young transforms the bumper sticker into a worn American flag representing the resiliency of the American people and spirit.  Young explained, “If we band together and fight for our conservative principles, we can put our economy and our country back together again.”

The ad started airing on broadcast television and on cable stations  in the Des Moines and Omaha-Council Bluffs media markets on Monday.

Matt Whitaker released his first ad in Iowa’s U.S. Senate race yesterday.

The ad is titled “Iowa Story” and focuses on Whitaker’s life as a tight end for the last Iowa Hawkeye football team to play in the Rose Bowl and his time as a U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa.

“Its important for Iowans to know that I have stood up for our state in the past,” said Whitaker. “If they elect me to the United States Senate, I will stand up to Barack Obama without wavering.”

The television ad will air on cable and broadcast television throughout Iowa.
