(Des Moines, IA) Today, mother, soldier, independent leader, and Iowa’s Republican nominee for U.S. Senate Joni Ernst, released “Service,” her latest television ad of the general election campaign.

The new ad highlights one of our shared Iowa Values, service – neighbors helping neighbors, Iowans helping Iowans.  Joni Ernst has served her community, state, and nation here at home as a local volunteer, a Sunday School teacher, a Montgomery County Auditor and a state senator, as well as overseas as a company commander in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  She continues to serve as a Lt. Colonel and battalion commander in the Iowa Army National Guard – a part of her over two decades of wearing our nation’s uniform.

“Iowans have a strong sense of community.  Iowans help each other out in times of need.  Joni Ernst has been a proven leader in tough times, whether it is assisting during emergencies like floods in southwest Iowa or leading convoys into Baghdad, and she will continue to fight for Iowans and Iowa Values in the U.S. Senate. Joni has lived a life of service,” said Ernst spokesperson Gretchen Hamel.

The ad will begin airing today in key markets across the state.

Below is the full script of the ad.
