Entertainment is an enjoyable thing, and it clearly has a place in the life of a Believer. But we are a culture consumed with entertainment, and the church has embraced it with gusto. We have rock bands, drama teams, multimedia presentations, theatrical effects, and espresso shops in our churches. We have entertainment galore, but can we say we have an equal emphasis on the gospel of Jesus Christ? We see in Scripture the emphasis on what the Apostle Paul called ā€œthe foolishness of preaching.ā€ The gospel of Jesus Christ crucified faithfully preached is what God uses to save sinners. Letā€™s not forget that.
