(Urbandale, IA) Today, Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds are proud to announce the details for the 2015 Inauguration. The inauguration will take place on January 16 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center Ballroom in downtown Des Moines, with a service of dedication the night before on January 15 at Christ the King Church in Des Moines.
Jim Cownie and Bill Knapp will chair the inaugural committee, Phil Valenziano will serve as the inaugural director, Tommy Schultz will serve as the communications director, Falicia Mandel will serve as the finance director and Vonna Hall will serve as the secretary.
“Jim Cownie and Bill Knapp care deeply about Iowa and its future, and I am honored to have them chair this inaugural committee,” said Gov. Branstad.
“Their leadership and commitment to building Iowa’s future are greatly appreciated,” said Lt. Gov. Reynolds. “We are proud to be dedicating the proceeds to scholarships in areas of agriculture, medicine, military families, history and the arts.”
Tickets for the inaugural ceremony and ball are available online at www.BranstadReynolds.com. The Swearing In Ceremony in the morning is free of charge but due to space constraints, attendees are asked to register for a ticket. Tickets for the Ball in the evening can be purchased for $75. Net proceeds of all tickets will go to the Branstad-Reynolds Scholarship Fund, with a percentage that can be written off for tax purposes.
