Caffeinated Thought of the Day: Saving Us Into Submission

My libertarian friend Casey Head wrote something a few years ago that I thought was quite profound. He said “Inside every progressive who wants to ‘save’ humanity, is an authoritarian who thinks the best way to do that is to rule it.” Casey really nailed this one.

What the Left wants to do in nearly every area of life requires control in order to achieve it. There will always be some that will happily go along with such control, because they think they personally stand to gain something. For the rest of us, however, those of us who value our freedom, those of us that inevitably end up paying the bills, this stuff is maddening.
