Gas prices won’t always remain low.

gas-pricesI’ve been watching all the discussion about the dramatic reduction in oil prices: If it’s good, if it’s bad, how long it will last, and so on. What I’ve noticed the most in all this is how many politicians at both the state and federal level are thrilled about it. Why? Because they see an opportunity, while market prices are low, to raise taxes on both gasoline and carbon, and they can’t wait. Most of these guys, regardless of party, live to tax and spend. This will not end well for our country if we can’t someday find a way to stop them.
