The ongoing kerfuffle over Planned Parenthood funding is causing us to focus on the distastefulness of funding Planned Parenthood or the sale of the already dead babies, as a result we are kept from honing in on the bigger problem: Three of the top GOP candidates for president, labeled as outsiders, believe it’s okay to kill some babies.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO, Carly Fiorina, was praised by Townhall’s Guy Benson in July for supposedly tutoring the press and liberals on abortion. If she taught them anything, it was how to dodge the hard questions. She supports exceptions for rape and incest, (as do surgeon Ben Carson and mogul Donald Trump) which is becoming fashionable among some conservatives. About 1% of all abortions are for cases involving rape or incest. If there are 1.3 Million child killings a year, that comes to about 13,000 unborn children a year that the exceptions position would leave unprotected

Prior to her run for the the US Senate in California, can she point to a single public statement she made concerning Planned Parenthood or abortion at all, for that matter? The same could be asked of Carson and Trump. When did they suddenly become pro-life?

During her debate with U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in California’s U.S. Senate race in 2010 Fiorina said she felt comfortable allowing federal funding to go to research using adult stem cells, as well as embryos that would have been destroyed otherwise. “It is when embryos are produced for the purposes of destruction, for the purposes of stem cell research that I have a great deal of difficulty,” she said.

Rudy Giuliani and Rick Perry made last-minute conversions on abortion exceptions a month or so before the Iowa caucuses in 2008. Will  Fiorina and the others make the same kind of change?

Disclaimer: Governor Mike Huckabee wrote the foreword for my book, With Christ in the Voting Booth. Although I was recently added to “Huckabee’s Team”, I have asked that my name be removed from all future releases. Nevertheless, I support Governor Huckabee, but he did not approve this post nor even knew its contents before hand.
