Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) announced that she was running for U.S. Senate following the news that U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) decided not to run for reelection. Blackburn who current represents Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District tried to promote the video below as a video ad on Twitter which they rejected.

Here’s the transcript of the video:

The United States Senateā€¦Itā€™s totally dysfunctional and itā€™s enough to drive you nuts. And thatā€™s why Iā€™ve decided to do something about it.

Iā€™m Marsha Blackburn. Iā€™m a hard core, card carrying Tennessee conservative. Iā€™m politically incorrect, and proud of it.

So, let me just say it like it is: The fact that our Republican majority in the U.S. Senate canā€™t overturn Obamacare, or will not overturn Obamacareā€¦itā€™s a disgrace.

Too many Senate Republicans act like Democrats. Or worse. And thatā€™s what we have to change.

Here in Tennessee, I fought my own party to stop a massive, job killing, state income tax. And we stopped it. We won.

I know the left calls me a wing-nut, or a knuckle dragging conservative. And you know what? I say thatā€™s all right, bring it on. Iā€™m 100% pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts. Thank God. I shoot skeet, have a concealed carry permit for the gun I do pack in my purse. I believe our government spends too much, grows too much, and is bankrupting our childrenā€™s future. I believe in President Trumpā€™s immigration ban. And Iā€™ll fight with him every step of the way to build that wall.

I stand for hundreds of millions of honest Americans who work hard and they play by the rules. And I stand for the greatest country the world has ever known. I stand when our President walks in the room. And yes, I stand when I hear the Star-Spangled Banner.

A great Tennessean who wasnā€™t so politically correct himself once said, ā€œOne man with courage makes a majority.ā€

Well, courage comes in both genders.

And Iā€™m running for U.S. Senate because I will fight every single day to make our Republican majority act like one.

Too much is at stake. America needs a conservative revolution, and leaders who are willing to fight in it.

Iā€™m Marsha Blackburn. Thatā€™s why Iā€™m running for U.S. Senate, and Iā€™d be honored to have your vote.

The Blackburn campaign was informed by Twitter that the video ad would not be run because they ā€œdeemed an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction.ā€

The line in question according to Twitter?

ā€œIā€™m 100% pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood, and we stopped the sale of baby body partsĀ ā€” thank god.ā€ (Note “God” should be capitalized which gives us a clue to the worldview of the Twitter employee making the decision.)

Considering the cesspool that Twitter has become on both the fringe left and fringe right it is rather mindboggling that the social media company would try to censor this video.

Since Twitter doesn’t want to take the campaign’s money to run the ad they’re trying have it go viral organically. In reality, more people will probably end up seeing it and the campaign gets to keep its money.
