Congressman David Young at the Iowa State Fair in August.

The American Conservative Union (ACU) on Friday announced its endorsement of David Young for re-election to the United States House of Representatives in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District race.

“David Young has been a strong voice for the commonsense, conservative values that Iowans care about. He believes in protecting Life, our Second Amendment rights, and the Rule of Law. David has also fought vigorously to ensure that taxes and regulations don’t stifle our economic progress, making sure that families and businesses have opportunities to succeed.   We’re proud to endorse David Young’s reelection to Congress.” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp.

Founded in 1964, the American Conservative Union (ACU) is the nation’s original conservative organization.  For more than fifty years, ACU has served as an umbrella organization harnessing the collective strength of conservative organizations fighting for Americans who are concerned with liberty, personal responsibility, traditional values, and strong national defense.  As one of America’s premier conservative voices, ACU promotes a conservative vision on issues before Congress, the Executive Branch, State Legislatures, the media, political candidates, and the public.
