Iowa’s Democratic members of the House of Representatives, U.S. Reps. Cindy Axne, Abby Finkenauer, and Dave Loebsack joined Republican U.S. Rep. Steve King on voting yes on a motion to table Texas Democratic U.S. Rep. Al Green’s articles of impeachment for President Donald Trump.

The motion to table was approved 332 to 95 on Wednesday afternoon. All Republicans voted in favor of the motion and they were joined by U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, I-Mich., who recently stated that he believed Trump committed impeachable offenses. Amash announced his departure from the Republican Party in an op-ed in The Washington Post on July 4th.

There were 95 Democrats who voted against the measure to table the articles of impeachment including U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan all of who were the subject of a controversial tweet by Trump that encouraged them to go back from where they came from if they did not like the United States.

U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell of California who recently ended his presidential campaign also voted no.

Axne, Finkenauer, and Loebsack have never expressed support for impeachment and generally avoid discussing the topic. King has been a staunch supporter of Trump’s and expressed opposition to impeachment numerous times.

Now they are all on the record for now.
