Today Sarah Palin announced via facebook her endorsement of Terry Branstad for Governor of Iowa in the GOP Primary.

Iowa, your great state’s motto is “Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.” That motto will be well served by voting for Terry Branstad for governor next Tuesday!

Please join me in supporting Governor Branstad’s campaign. Visit his website here, and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

– Sarah Palin

Considering the two other  candidates competing for the GOP nomination to defeat Chet Culver in November, are social conservatives Bob Vander Plaats and Rod Roberts, this is somewhat of a surprise.   Caffeinated Thoughts is “Blogs 4 Palin” website, so I will refrain from any negative statement regarding this endorsement, but something tells me that we will not be following her lead on this one.
