(URBANDALE) – The Governor Branstad 2010 campaign today released its latest ad, called “Let’s Work,” which highlights Terry Branstad’s plan to bring 200,000 new jobs to Iowa.

The ad, running on statewide network and cable television in conjunction with the ads released yesterday, is found here.  You can watch below as well:

“There is a clear contrast between the two candidates for governor when it comes to job creation,” said Branstad 2010 campaign manager Jeff Boeyink. “Governor Culver has chosen to put us in debt for the next two decades and no long-term jobs, while Terry Branstad takes a meaningful, thoughtful approach to economic development. Branstad’s back, and so are his successful job-creating initiatives.

“Branstad has an actual record of creating jobs and lowering Iowa’s unemployment rate, whereas the Culver record is one of nearly doubled unemployment and a ‘stay the course’ jobs policy that has seen more than 50,000 Iowans added to the rolls of the unemployed,” added Boeyink.

The script of the ad is as follows:

114,000 Iowans are out of work.  It’s unacceptable.

Under Terry Branstad, unemployment was the lowest in state history. He created nearly 300,000 jobs.

Now, he has a new plan. It’s ambitious and aggressive.

Create 200,000 new jobs. Make it known Iowa is open for business again.

End job-killing red tape. Expand trade for our ag and manufactured goods.

Branstad’s back.

Let’s work.
