John Gustavsson works as a policy adviser in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. John holds a MSc in Behavioral economics from the University of Nottingham and is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Maynooth University, Ireland. He was born in 1991 in Sweden and grew up in Örnsköldsvik, a city in one of the most left-winged regions in one of the most left-winged countries of the world. Despite - or maybe because of - having been raised in this environment, John grew up to become a fiscal, social and foreign policy conservative. He became interested in politics at the young age of 10 and has followed American politics since 2004.
