Kim Lehman began her career as an activist 20 years ago when she was told that her 5 year old son would be forced to learn about homosexuality in school because of an Iowa law called Human Growth and Development. This led Kim to join Concerned Women for America of Iowa and she successfully lobbied to increase state funding to fight pornography. Soon Kim became their State Director to lead the organization. In 2000 Kim was hired as the Executive Director and President for Iowa Right to Life (IRLC). In her role as director for IRLC, Kim was the chief lobbyist, spokesman and ran the day to day operations. In 2008 Kim was elected as Iowa’s Republican National Committeewoman and served as Resolutions Chairman. In her work on the RNC, she cofounded a conservative group to fight the National Popular Vote and was part of the original founders for the Conservative Caucus on the RNC. Kim was part of the team to help elect Chairman Reince Prebious in his first term. Kim Lehman was very active in advancing conservative issues on the Committee, however she chose not to run for a second term as National Committeewoman in order to focus her attention on Give Cures-- a campaign to raise funding for the John Paul II Medical Research Institute’s ethical research. Kim Lehman is currently the State Director for Patriot Voices and sits on the board of Iowan’s for Tax Relief and the John Paul II Medical Research Institute. Kim has been a strong conservative Christian voice that has consistently spoke the truth while encouraging others to do the same. Kim Lehman is married to Rand Lehman and they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
