Sarah Bowman was born and raised in Glidden, Iowa on a Century Farm. She earned her Associates Degree from DMACC in Carroll, and in 2002, a Bachelor of Science Degree in English from Iowa State. She served as an assistant to the House Majority Leader in 2003, and then Communications Director for Senator Chuck Grassley's campaign. She worked for the Agribusiness Association of Iowa and Principal Financial Group when her husband was deployed to Iraq. Upon his return she has worked as a campaign consultant and is busy being the mom of four boys.
