Tom Richards is a Master Residential Carpenter working in Story County. He teaches Sunday School and is active in jail ministry.
He graduated from Iowa State in 1974 with a BA in Sociology. He ran for public office in the 1970's. He later served as Director of Public Information for a multi county Community Action Agency in Central Iowa.
He writes on politics occasionally, and is known for letters to the editor. He is a folk singer and songwriter. He is a life long resident of Story County.
Vote Against Retention of Remaining Varnum Decision Justices
Tom Richards: Perhaps after a 2nd round of “no” votes on judicial retention, the legislature will be emboldened to undo the ill effects of the Varnum decision.
