(Watchdog.org) LINCOLN, Neb. – A newcomer to politics has walked away with Nebraska’s Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate. Senate Votes Contraceptives Over Religious Liberty

The Blunt Amendment was defeated in the Senate today on a 51-49 vote.  The measure introduced by Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) would have allowed employers to opt out of health care coverage which would violate their religious or moral beliefs.  In effect Obama’s contraceptives mandate trumps religious liberty.
