image Bob Vander Plaats just launched the online component for his campaign to oust the Iowa Supreme Court Justices up for retention.

You can find it at http://www.iowafamilyvalues.com.  Not much there yet as he’s basically revamping what was his gubernatorial campaign website, but you can sign-up to receive updates.  What new information we do learn is who is funding the effort at least in part.  The website is funded by  AFA Action which is the political action committee of the American Family Association.  They care calling for the impeachment of U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker who ruled against California’s Proposition 8.

A poll released today at The Iowa Republican shows that this push has a lot of potential when voters are educated that the Iowa Supreme Court justices voted to legalize gay marriage in Iowa 47% of those surveyed said they would vote no on retention.

No wonder that the Anti-Retention Campaign propaganda has already kicked into overdrive.  Just remember that ousting these judges is just the first step in bringing Iowa’s judiciary in check.
