Hey I’d like to introduce you to two new contributors for Caffeinated Thoughts.  I’m excited for their first posts.  I introduced you to Leanne Torres earlier, and now we have Dave St. John and Emily Heikes joining the CT team.

Dave St. John  is the morning host and program director at Life 107.1 KNWI in Des Moines.  He has been there since 2005, prior to that the was the Program Director for Q99.5 KZZQ in Des Moines where he worked from 2001-2005.  He is a graduate of Augustana College.  Dave can be contacted at dave@desmoines.fm.

I’m excited to have Dave on board for his perspective, and I appreciate the ministry that he has on the radio here in Des Moines.  I am not sure, but I suspect that we’ll be seeing some music reviews from him.

Emily Heikes studies mathematics at Bethel University in the lovely city of St. Paul, MN.  She lived most of her life around Illinois but currently resides in Pella, IA when not at school.  In addition to math, Emily’s passions include playing violin, cycling, and Peanut Butter M&M’s.  She enjoyed being  involved in the caucus in Iowa and recently voted for the first time!!!

Just a personal note with Emily, I had the privilege of being Emily’s youth pastor for a short time.  She’s a sharp young lady who kept me on my toes with questions and engaging conversation.  We don’t always see eye to eye on things, but I’m excited for the new voice and different perspective that she’ll bring!

Make sure you give them a shout out and leave comments to encourage them in their blogging as they are both first-time bloggers!
