The final statement made by Jesus while on the cross.
Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last, (Luke 23:46, ESV).
His final breath, a triumphant shout declaring to the world that He had been restored to His Father after atoning for human sin.
He was pierced in the side to confirm death. He was sealed in an airless tomb. Dead.
Sunday’s coming.

MUSHROOMS
What's the outcome of this day
Did it really make it's mark
Upon a world so closed to Him
That they prefer life in the dark
Like mushrooms thriving in the gloom
They're fed a load of tasty dung
Which stops them looking for the light
That shines from what The Saviours done.
We're the carriers of this light
Through us He's supposed to shine
Easter's so familiar
The message sadly fades with time
Let us take His sacrifice
To live the victory that He's won
Pick those mushrooms from their grave
And bathe them in the glorious Son.
