I just thought I’d check in with you the reader of Caffeinated Thoughts.  How are you doing?  Also, how can I pray for you?  I do pray for my readers and co-contributors regularly, but I haven’t asked you specifically how I can pray for quite some time.

So leave a comment below to let me know, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing that go ahead and send me an email from my contact page.  It would be my privilege to pray for you today, and I encourage those who read this post to do the same.

  1. Shane,

First, praise God for you, the contributors of this blog, and for this blog itself. I've been blessed by what you and the team have shared here.

I would covet prayers for my family and I as we venture into uncertain financial times with regard to my present “tent making trade.” I'm facing a salary cut this month and we're not sure how it's going to pan out.

Secondly, as you know, I've been blogging since January at May He Increase. I've been lead by the Spirit so far and I know that this is part of what God has planned for me and my family. I would ask for prayer that I be obedient to what God is calling me to do and to be faithful to that plan.

Lastly, my overall request is to ask God to show me the path to dreams He has put in my heart and for the faith and courage to act on them. If there are dreams still yet hidden from the years of suppression and doubt, for God to bring them forth.

Thank you again, Shane, for this blog and your ministry. It's made an impact in my life.

    In Christ,

    Joe.

  2. Both Ann and I have health problems. Mine is called Hemochromatosis and hers is called Devics Disease. Mine has resulted in very painful joints and hers in paralysis and disability.

Thanks for praying Shane.. I added you to my prayer blog and am asking God to minister to your wife's RA and your ministry needs as well.

    I appreciate you!

  3. I could definitely use some prayer.

First, the Lord is leading me in a direction that I am not comfortable with as it will take me far out of my comfort zone. Not surprising, but definitely unnerving … so I need to be lifted up so that I can rise to the challenges ahead.

Second, I am going to need to raise some money to accomplish one of the things the Lord has set for me to do. I about exhausted myself fundraising for the AIM trip during Spring Break and I don't know if I have it in me to do it again. Plus, I don't know how supportive my church will be considering this is not for a missions trip or specifically sponsored by the Assemblies of God.

Third, I am not getting much in the way of sleep. I am averaging about four hours of sleep a night and I need more than that. I have a one year old to keep up with. I have Fibromyalgia and need sleep to deal with it's challenges. And, a lack of sleep affects the condition negatively as well. My doctor likes for me to get at least eight hours, but even six would be wonderful. 🙂

This is a wonderful idea and very much appreciated. Thank you!

  4. I will also pray for each of these request.

I do also ask for prayer as I try a new medication. My pain has been severe this week. I can’t even explain, but to say that it feels like more than I can handle sometimes. And I have been working on making costumes for the kids production of Oklahoma next week. Pray for my three kids as there is only a couple of practices left, and a lot of work to do.

But more than for me, can you pray for my friend Miguel. He is from Spain. he converted to Mormonism as his wife is Mormon. He does not believe that the Mormon Church is true, and has been reading the Bible, and believing that the Bible is true. But this week him and his wife lost a baby by miscarriage. This is the second in two years. He is questioning God now, and why this would happen. Please pray for God’s peace for him, and salvation for him and his wife.

And Shane, how can we pray for you these days?
