At last count out of people who have endorsed this push to see Representative Rod Roberts added to Governor Terry Branstad’s ticket, 23 of those were chairs of their county’s Republican Party.  That’s almost a forth of Iowa’s county Republican Party chairpersons – I doubt we’ll see that many coalesce to draft a different Lt. Governor candidate.

Rod Roberts is somebody who is not only respected throughout the Republican party, but has had the ability to win over Democrats and Independents in his own House district.  His district has a more registered Democrats than Republicans, and his district went for President Obama in 2008.

He’s a solid fiscal and social conservative, and he’s ready to lead.  I wanted to highlight one of his speeches during the primary campaign.  It is from the Iowans for Tax Relief Taxpayers’ Day forum, and you can listen to that using the player above.

Today we’ve seen this campaign highlighted at The Daily Nonpareil (Council Bluffs newspaper), as well as, The Iowa Republican.  Help us spread the word by telling your local paper, also please let your voice be heard by signing our petition and sharing it with your friends and family.
