Altoona, IA – Dave Funk is excited to announce that Steve Forbes, former presidential candidate and Honorary Chairman of Iowans for Discounted Taxes, has endorsed Funk’s campaign for Polk County Supervisor.

Mr. Forbes stated, “Dave inspired the crowd at the Polk County GOP luncheon last Wednesday with his pledge to discount property taxes by 10%, pushing money back into the hands of individuals, families and businesses. Because we are closely aligned on fundamental issues like taxes and responsible spending, I am happy to give him my personal endorsement.”

Forbes concluded by saying that, “Dave’s efforts to push money back into the hands of individuals, families and businesses with these discounts, can only help Polk County residents by giving them hope and promoting the kind of economic growth that creates good paying jobs.”

In response, Mr. Funk thanked Forbes and said, “Giving my constituents a discount on their property taxes will succeed where careless stimulus spending and expensive government jobs programs have failed.”
