Council Bluffs, Iowa – November 10, 2010 – Secretary of State elect, Matt Schultz announced today that he has put together a transition team made up of excellent individuals in the fields of business and elections to help him hit the ground running in January.

Jim Gibbons will serve a Chairman of the Secretary of State transition team advising on issues and personnel decisions related to the business services division of the office.

Mary Mosiman, the Story County Auditor, will serve as Co-Chair of the Secretary of State transition team advising on issues and personnel decisions related to the elections division of the office.

Stephanie Laudner will serve as the Communications Director of the Secretary of State transition team.

"I am humbled by this opportunity to serve the people of Iowa as their next Secretary of State. I am honored to have Jim Gibbons, Mary Mosiman, and Stephanie Laudner as part of my transition team. This transition is very important so that we can hit the ground running in January and work to achieve those commitments we made to the people of Iowa by fighting to require everyone to show a Photo ID when they vote at the polls and work as a ‘Pro Jobs’ Secretary of State," said Schultz.
