Iowa Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal (D-Council Bluffs) said something about education testing in The Des Moines Register this morning that I can wholeheartedly agree with.

He said, “I used to do very well on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m smart or have skills for the modern workplace.”

I fully agree, I’m just shocked that he admitted it.

Seriously, I have additional thoughts about this article on Governor Terry Branstad’s education summit later this month… More to come.
