imageI’d be remiss not to point out that Scott Conroy at Real Clear Politics got the scoop yesterday that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker for the Tea Party of America Rally “Restoring America” in Waukee Indianola, IA on September 3rd.

In the Tea Party of America’s press release Governor Palin said:

I’m very excited to join grassroots Iowans at the ‘Restoring America’ event over Labor Day Weekend. Gatherings like this of independent liberty-loving Americans from every walk of life exemplify our commitment to come together to seek solutions to the problems confronting our nation. As I’ve said many times, including at Pella during my last visit to Iowa: We don’t need a ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. We need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free. The 2012 election will be a great debate between those two conflicting visions for our country.

Governor Palin said in a recent interview with Sean Hannity she hinted that an announcement would be forthcoming in August or September.  She had a well attended salvo in Pella, will she be making a major announcement when she comes to Waukee?  If she does she’ll be better prepared than most people realize.

Update: This will be held at the National Balloon Classic Field (15335 Jewell Street in Indianola, IA). Times are from 11:00a to 2:00p. You can come as early as 8:00a for a good spot. It’s a free event, and you can reserve a ticket here.
