I had the chance to speak with a few individuals in the media “spin room” in Hilton Coliseum last night to gage their reaction to the Fox News/Iowa GOP Presidential Debate in Ames, IA.

Congressman Steve King (R-IA) shared his thoughts, and he believed that Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann came out ahead on her exchange with former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty:

Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz enjoyed the pace of the debate.

Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey also enjoyed the debate and thought it was helpful for Iowans, but it wasn’t going to be the ultimate deciding factor.

Republican Party of Iowa Chairman, Matt Strawn, thought that last night was a good night for Iowa and demonstrates why we should be the first in the nation.

Former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO) of the Susan B. Anthony List thought that Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum gave an excellent answer on why abortion should be illegal even in cases of rape and incest. She was pleased that all of the candidates stood up for life.
