Washington, DC ─ Today, the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life Political Action Committee, announced additional candidate endorsements for the 2012 election cycle:

  • Wendy Long (NY-Senate)
  • Cherilyn Eagar (UT-02)
  • Bobby Schilling (IL-17)
  • Rebecca Kleefisch (WI-Lt. Gov.)

“We are proud to endorse these dedicated pro-life leaders who will be champions for all Americans, born and unborn, in their elected offices,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

“At a time when American voters are thirsty for authentic pro-life leadership these candidates stand out from their ardently pro-abortion counterparts. The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund will work tirelessly to see pro-life candidates make even bigger gains this year than in previous elections cycles.”

Previous endorsements this year include Barbara Cegavske (NV-04), Bette Grande (ND-AL), Beth Anne Rankin (AR-04), Ann Wagner (MO-02), Jackie Walorski (IN-02), Martha Zoller (GA-09), and Rep. Steve King (IA-04). A complete list endorsed candidates can be found at: http://www.sba-list.org/endorsed-candidates.

During the 2010 election cycle, SBA List spent $11 million and was involved in 90 races, 62 of which resulted in victories. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill, increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent, filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.

The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of more than 365,000 Americans dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics.  Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
