220px-Tom_Latham,_official_portrait,_112th_CongressWashington, D.C. — Today marks the beginning of the new two-year 113th Congress, and with it the first day of Iowa Congressman Tom Latham’s representation of the newly drawn Third Congressional District. The new district, approved by the Iowa legislature and signed into law by Governor Terry Branstad in April 2011, encompasses the southwest counties of Iowa: Adair, Adams, Cass, Dallas, Fremont, Guthrie, Madison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Polk, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Taylor, Union and Warren.

“I am deeply privileged to have the opportunity to continue to represent Iowa in the 113th Congress,” Congressman Latham said. “The new Third District contains a diverse mix of rural and urban communities that represents the best that Iowa has to offer. My staff and I are working to provide numerous and convenient outreach opportunities to address constituents’ questions and concerns, and assist them with casework that cuts through federal red tape.”

Latham is in the process of opening three regional offices in the new district. They are:

Third District Eastern Constituent Services Office
2700 Grand Avenue, Suite 109
Des Moines, Iowa 50312
515-282-1909

Third District Central Constituent Services Office
208 West Taylor Street
Creston, Iowa 50801
641-782-2495

Third District Western Constituent Services Office
116 West Broadway Street
Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503
712-325-1404

“The geographic location of these constituent services offices will help ensure that each Iowan in the Third District has local, convenient access to my staff and any assistance my office can provide,” Latham added. “I have always been strongly committed to helping and fighting for Iowans. All of my offices belong to the people of Iowa as their resource in dealing with the federal government and the issues facing our nation.”
The new offices are being prepared and will be up and running over the next couple of weeks.
