Bruce BraleyVia NRSC: Bruce Braley and Washington Democrats repeatedly promised that somehow – miraculously – more people would be insured for less cost.  They promised that men and women could keep the care that they have if they liked it.  And they promised that the quality of care would remain high.  False… False… False.

His statement in 2010.

“[ObamaCare] will decrease health insurance costs, expand access to quality, affordable health care, improve reimbursements for Iowa medical providers and allow Americans to maintain their choice of health insurance.”- U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley, 3/21/2010

Reality

“Healthy consumers could see insurance rates double or even triple when they look for individual coverage under the federal health law later this year, while the premiums paid by sicker people are set to become more affordable, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of coverage to be sold on the law’s new exchanges.” – Wall Street Journal, 6/30/2013

“When President Obama needed a helping hand to force ObamaCare into law, Bruce Braley was there.  Bruce Braley helped force ObamaCare onto the backs of families, workers and businesses across Iowa,” said NRSC Press Secretary Brook Hougesen. “Now, not only will Iowans be forced to cope with exploding health care costs, but many men and women will also lose their current plan and quality of care – despite the promises made. The fact is that ObamaCare hurts families by driving up costs and jeopardizes care and in 2014, Iowans will have an opportunity to ‘thank’ Braley by showing him the door.”
