bruce-braley-sell-out

(Washington, DC) The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) today launched an online and grassroots campaign targeting Black Friday shoppers across Iowa with flyers and online advertisements that make clear that Bruce Braley sold them out on ObamaCare. The effort is designed to stave off efforts by Braley to distance himself from the unpopular law now that he is seeking a promotion.

ObamaCare is rapidly losing support among voters and Kaiser’s November Tracking Poll found that it is losing ground among women: “Women registered their most negative views on the law to date, with 48 percent saying they have an unfavorable view of the law and 32 percent favorable.”

The Black Friday campaign will target shoppers and women, who now face higher health care costs and potential loss of plans that they like. The online ads will begin running today and volunteers will flyer cars in Council Bluffs and West Des Moines this week. The online ads will take Black Friday shoppers to an NRSC petition page to demand a “refund”.

Bruce Braley’s support of ObamaCare has resulted in 1,000 Iowans losing their health insurance plans.

No matter how hard Bruce Braley tries to convince voters otherwise, he knewhe knew many would lose health insurance plans that they liked as they are forced into the ObamaCare exchanges. This is – and always has been – an intended consequenceintended consequence of the Affordable Care Act

Now that voters are seeing first hand that ObamaCare is a disaster, Bruce Braley is trying to once again fool voters by distancing himself from it. Either Braley was knowingly dishonest about people keeping their care yet repeatedly promised otherwise; or, he lacks the competence to comprehend the health care overhaul that he championed.

“Bruce Braley sold out Iowans by supporting ObamaCare and repeatedly promising that everyone would be able to keep their health care plans if they choose,” said NRSC Press Secretary Brook Hougesen. “ObamaCare has resulted in higher costs, cancelled health care policies, and fewer hours for workers in Iowa. Bruce Braley wasn’t being honest about ObamaCare four years ago and he’s still not being honest today.”
