Iowa Senate
(ADEL, IA)Iowa State Senator Jake Chapman announced today that he will not seek the Republican Party’s nomination for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional district.

“I am focused on strengthening Iowa’s economy, improving our budget, and lowering taxes. I believe I can best accomplish these goals in the Iowa Senate,” said Chapman. Last week, Senator Chapman was appointed the ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. “I am excited for the opportunity to serve Iowans in this new position. I believe that with sound budgetary practices and controlling Government’s appetite for spending, Iowa’s greatest days are ahead. ”

Chapman also announced his support for Matt Schultz for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional district.

“Matt has been a tireless fighter for Iowa and for integrity in government. I am confident he will lead the same charge in Washington, D.C.,” said Chapman. “Matt is a man who has been courageous and stood for our valued principles. I know we can trust him to make the hard decisions and the right decisions. I am honored to announce my support of Matt Schultz as our next Congressman.”
