Americans for Prosperity (AFP) released two new videos, including one featuring talking chickens discussing how Congressman Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) sued his neighbors over loose chickens and another featuring “man on the street” interviews with Cedar Rapids residents about Braley’s lack of accomplishments. In the latter video, even supporters of Braley struggled to name specific policy accomplishments. At one point the interviewer asked supporters how they felt about the estate tax, which Braley supports, and found that people weren’t aware that he voted against them on those issues. The ads urge Iowans to retire Rep. Braley.

“Iowans need a Senator who knows how to stand up to the Washington establishment, not sue his neighbors over a couple loose chickens,” said Mark Lucas, Iowa State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “While Representative Braley’s own supporters can’t name his policy accomplishments for our state, two talking chickens remember how the lawyer sued his own neighbors.

“What’s clear to any objective observer is that Representative Braley is out to promote his interests and the Obama agenda, not Iowa’s interests, or taxpayers generally. We need a Senator who will stand up for Iowans – not sue them when their chickens get loose on his property.”
