Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who is running for re-election.

“Sen. Grassley is a longtime pro-life champion who we have worked with for many years. It is an honor to endorse his re-election bid,” said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser. “His leadership on the Senate Judiciary Committee showed a bright light for the rest of the Senate to follow regarding the nomination of any other Obama appointee before the next president is elected. Sen. Grassley never backed down from his commitment to see the American people decide who replaces Justice Scalia.”

“Sen. Grassley’s opponent Patty Judge has been endorsed by the radical pro-abortion EMILY’s List, which opposes even the most modest pro-life initiatives,” Dannenfelser continued. “Judge will be a rubber stamp for Hillary Clinton’s extreme agenda, which includes forcing Americans to pay for abortion on-demand with our taxpayer dollars. Patty Judge will fight for the abortion lobby, not Iowans.”

“I am proud to be endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List, an organization that recognizes ‘laws save lives.’ It is an honor to stand together in defense of the most vulnerable Americans and the democratic principles at the heart of our country,” Grassley said welcoming the endorsement.

First elected to Congress in 1980, Sen. Grassley has a long history of public service. In January of 2016, he was appointed Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  He has a 100% pro-life voting record in the U.S. Senate.
