“I am excited to have Dr. Gagnon as a keynote speaker. I can’t think of a person better suited to address how the Church should engage and respond to the LGBTQ agenda that has permeated our schools, culture and politics. He has been an excellent resource to the Church for years boldly addressing homosexuality from a biblical and theological perspective,” Shane Vander Hart, founder and editor of Caffeinated Thoughts and co-host of Caffeinated Thoughts Radio, said.
Gagnon will be joined by Dr. Nathan Oppman from The FAMiLY Leader for a panel discussion about the LGBTQ agenda after Dr. Gagnon’s message. Oppman has previously worked for the Family Research Council, Bob Jones University and for the South Carolinians for Responsible Government Foundation before joining The FAMilY Leader. Oppman has a B.A. in Political Science, M.A. in History, and EdD in curriculum and instruction and history from Bob Jones University.
The Caffeinated Thoughts Briefing is a Christian worldview conference for students and adults. This year the Briefing will address the question: A the Church intersects with our society and culture how should Christians individually and the Church collectively respond:
- To the rise of ISIS and Islamic terrorism, including homegrown terrorism?
- To the LGBTQ agenda and those who promote it?
- To the growing threat to our religious liberty?
- To the abortion industry and the culture of death our courts continue to defend?
- To a culture that is increasingly hostile to our faith and biblical truth?
