On Caffeinated Thoughts Radio this week Shane Vander Hart and Brian Myers were joined by Scott Owen of Crosswalk Ministries. Scott, who is one of our sponsors, was in the studio to record some of his spots so we asked him to join us as an honorary co-host this week.
The first guest was Wayne Pedersen who is the chairman of the International Day for the Unreached. The purpose of the International Day for the Unreached, which will be on June 4, 2017, is to inspire and mobilize Christians to reach out to the 2.5 billion people around the world who have yet to hear the gospel.
Pedersen is also the global ambassador for Reach Beyond, a ministry that starts Christian radio stations all over the word, and in particular in areas where there is very little gospel witness.
The next guest was Beth Lamb, the state director of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Iowa, with summer around the corner CEF is looking for people to help host 5 Day Clubs, they are looking for high school and college students to be trained to teach those 5 Day Clubs, and they also have two weeks of Good News Camp. This is a great opportunity to take the gospel to where children who don’t know Jesus are.
Shifting gears they guys discussed Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield dropping out of the individual health insurance plan market. The Iowa Legislature is on the verge of passing a 20-week ban on abortions. Then the Senate goes nuclear with Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
The guys then discuss the controversy around Susan Rice allegedly unmasking the names of then President-elect Donald Trump and members of the Trump transition team. President Trump outed Rice as the one who had done that but didn’t provide any evidence.
Also, the United States bomb a Syrian airfield in retaliation for a chemical attack launched that killed 80 people.
Plus a new way to watch Caffeinated Thoughts Radio – by live stream on the Caffeinated Thoughts’ Facebook page. This will be every Friday morning starting approximately 10:10a.
