(Van Meter, Iowa) Congressman David Young (R-Iowa) on Wednesday announced Governor Kim Reynolds, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley, and U.S. Senator Joni Ernst will co-chair his 2018 re-election campaign.

“I want to thank Governor Reynolds, Senator Grassley, and Senator Ernst for their support and leadership,” Young said. “Elections are about solutions, leadership, and people and I look forward to continuing my work on behalf of Iowans and share how I will keep moving Iowa forward.”

“There is no better representative and advocate for central and southwest Iowa than Congressman David Young,” Reynolds stated. “David is a tireless worker in his district, visiting all 16 counties, every month. He’s driven by his values, his faith, and you never have to guess where he stands. I cannot think of a better friend and partner for the 3rd Congressional District than David.”

“David Young serves Iowans, keeping in touch with the grassroots and local leaders and working successfully on legislation to help veterans, farmers, people with disabilities, and people needing better access to mental health services. As a campaign co-chair, I will work for David’s re-election alongside Iowans from Des Moines to Council Bluffs and everywhere in between,” Grassley noted. “The people of Iowa’s third congressional district are well-served by David’s unwavering commitment to constituent service and his record on issues important to our state.”

“David has worked hard to bring some Iowa commonsense to Congress and I am proud to co-chair his campaign,” Ernst added. “His dedication to Iowa’s veterans shows how much he cares about all those who have served our country as he works to improve the VA and ensure our veterans get the care they need.”
