On September 25th of last year, I posted the following on Twitter:

ā€œIf Hunter Biden really did illegally load his pockets with Ukrainian money, it’s a good bet nobody will investigate it now. And that’s a travesty.ā€

Perhaps it wasnā€™t such a good bet after all, as Wednesdayā€™s New York Post bombshell article not only discloses some of Hunter Bidenā€™s allegedly sleazy dealings in Ukraine but former Vice President Joe Bidenā€™s involvement as well.

According to the article, the data from the hard drive from Hunter Bidenā€™s laptop computer ended up in the hands of both the FBI and Rudy Giulianiā€™s lawyer. The Post then recently obtained the hard drive data from Giuliani. Hereā€™s some of what The Post article had to say:

Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.

The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month…

An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burismaā€™s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for ā€œadvice on how you could use your influenceā€ on the companyā€™s behalf.

This mess is terrible on its face, but itā€™s particularly bad given that President Trump was impeached for asking Ukraine to look into it. Worse, the FBI had both the laptop and the hard drive during the impeachment, but it appears nothing about it came to light for whatever reason.

Last year, my concern was that the media would bury the story or otherwise deny any truth to it, and itā€™s not as though they havenā€™t tried to before now. But now, the attempt to stop the spread of the story on social media has been nothing short of breathtaking. So much so that there have been calls for Senate hearings on the matter.

As Iā€™ve said in the past, it shouldnā€™t matter to you if you donā€™t like Donald Trump. If the information in this New York Post article is true, seeing corruption of this sort and seeing the willingness of so many to try to cover it up should trouble us all.
