He was out… and now it’s likely he’s still probably out, but Texas Governor Rick Perry may be rethinking his decision not to run.  He’s not saying anything concrete, but if he does the dynamic changes as well.  He’s challenged the Obama administration on numerous fronts.  He’s been a 10th Amendment advocate, prolife and has been pushing President Obama on his illegal immigration stance.  He also has strong executive experience being the United States’ longest serving Governor.

He would certainly be a red meat candidate that many are looking for.  He would bring the fight to Obama, and he’s popular.  I would assume his decision will largely be based on how the field shapes up.  He would make a strong candidate, but how long can he wait?  I’m sure, however, that he’d be a welcome addition for many who aren’t satisfied with the slate of candidates we have at the moment.
