imageFamily Research Council Action, Susan B. Anthony List and the National Organization for Marriage kicked off their Values Voters Bus Tour which will be making 22 stops over the next four days ending at the Ames Straw Poll.  There was an excellent media turnout at the Iowa State House this morning, a small group of supporters, and a slew of Americans for Rick Perry volunteers.  I’m sure they were disappointed as the majority of those present at the bus tour were media types.

Connie Mackey of Family Research Council Action spoke first highlighting that issues like marriage and life can not be lost in the midst of campaigns wanting to focus on the economy.  She said their purpose was to remind voters in Iowa to make sure these issues are at the forefront when vetting candidates in Iowa.

Along with Mackey, Former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO) of SBA List, Chris Plant of NOM, Bob Vander Plaats of The FAMiLY Leader, Republican National Committeewoman Kim Lehman, Iowa Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN), Tamara Scott of Concerned Women of America – Iowa, and Jenifer Bowen of Iowa Right to Life all spoke.  You can watch videos of some of the speeches down below:
