(Des Moines, IA) In conjunction with the Iowa Democratic Party of Iowa, the Republican Party of Iowa announced today that both parties have finalized the time for the 2014 statewide caucus to be held on Tuesday, January 21. While the date had previously been set, both parties agreed last week to finalize the time of the caucus to 7:00pm, ensuring that both parties were conducting their caucuses at the same time and on the same date.

“I am pleased to announce we’ve locked in a time for the 2014 caucus, Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00pm,” said Iowa GOP Chairman A.J. Spiker. “By working with the Iowa Democratic Party on this procedural issue, we ensure both parties are holding their caucuses on the same date and at the same time. I look forward to working with IDP Chairman Scott Brennan on making sure the 2014 caucuses are fair and accessible and that Iowa remains first in the nation.
