(Des Moines, IA) Americans for Prosperity will host Texas Governor Rick Perry and a group of Iowa business leaders in a discussion on job creation and growing the American economy. Since being elected in 2000, Governor Perry has overseen an economic boom in the state of Texas. Under Governor Perry’s leadership, Texas has led the country in economic growth and job creation. Over the last 10 years, Texas has created 30 percent of the net new jobs in America.

Governor Perry understands how jobs are created and the importance of promoting free-market solutions as the best path towards economic prosperity.

“I look forward to visiting Iowa to discuss how we can awaken our industries and bring the American economy back to prosperity,” said Governor Perry. “Governor Branstad and the state of Iowa have found a very sound formula for growth.
