Love-and-Hate
Some time ago Rick Warren made the following observation. ā€œOur cultureā€, he said,ā€ has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.ā€ I don’t agree with Rick Warren on everything, but he was absolutely spot-on here. The Gay agenda has moved ahead at a breathtaking speed because those pushing it used these lies quite effectively. No one wants to be called a hater. But we must remain strong, stay true to Christ, and not compromise our convictions.
