The Evangelical church is in trouble. It’s in trouble because it’s compromising the truth. Not that this is anything new. Some thirty years ago the late Dr. Francis Schaeffer wrote this: “Here is the great evangelical disaster– the failure of the evangelical world to stand for truth as truth. There is only one word for this– namely accommodation: the evangelical church has accommodated to the world spirit of the age.”  It says in Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Unfortunately, we’re conforming to the world because it’s easier that way, and that’s sad.
