Republican U.S. Senate nominee Joni Ernst released her closing ad “Crossroads,” in which she speaks of the nation’s need to change direction.

“This election is an opportunity for Iowans to choose a leader that will lend a fresh perspective to Washington and address the failed policy supported by our broken leadership, ” Joni for Iowa spokesperson Gretchen Hamel said. “Joni will fight for a balanced budget and work for policies to strengthen Iowa and our nation’s future.”

The ad will begin airing in key markets across the state.

Transcript of “Crossroads”:

America is at a crossroads. We can continue down Washington’s road – more government, more spending, more taxing… or change direction and take a new way. The Iowa way. Protect seniors, not scare them. Balance the budget instead of passing the buck to our kids and grandkids. I’m Joni Ernst, I approve this message and I’m asking for your vote because it’s time to change direction.
