What’s been going on in Ferguson, MO and now in New York illustrates that nothing has changed in the last two decades  relative to the perception of race and criminal justice. In the ‘90s we had the L.A riots after the Rodney King case, followed by celebration in the streets after the O.J. Simpson acquittal.

For many in our country, the truth itself, let alone evidence of truth, has become irrelevant. We seem to choose sides based on racial assumptions and make our demands for “justice.” I know cops can do bad things, and I’m more than a little skeptical about juries getting things right in these cases. But we simply have to allow our justice system to work. There is no justice in anarchy.
