We even work to the glory of God.

Richard Sibbes once wrote, ā€œThe whole life of a Christian should be nothing but praises and thanks to God; we should neither eat nor sleep, but eat to God and sleep to God and work to God and talk to God, do all to His glory and praise.ā€

That seems to be a tall order, but what he means in everything we should seek to please God.  The Apostle Paul wrote, ā€œWhatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.ā€  How much different would life be if we just kept that perspective?  Would our work be different?  Would our personal interactions with family and friends be different?  Would your recreation look different?  How about your computer usage?  Jesus is the Lord over all of our life, not just pieces we want to submit to him.
