(Cedar Rapids, IA) Congressman Rod Blum (R-Iowa) and FreedomWorks hosted the 2015 Rising Tide Summit at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Approximately 2000 grassroots activists attended to see five Republican presidential candidates who attended. Dr. Ben Carson, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) spoke and took questions from FreedomWorks, Blum and several guest questioners who appeared by video.

In terms of applause Cruz was the crowd favorite followed by Paul however all of the candidates received a warm reception by the attendees.

Former Hewlett0-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina was the last candidate to speak.

Each candidate held a press gaggles during the event as well.

Paul gave his prior to the start of the Summit.
