For this episode of the Caffeinated Thoughts Podcast, our host Shane Vander Hart has a conversation with Congressman David Young (R-Iowa) who represents Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District and is running for his third term.

Congressman Young was the only Republican in Iowa’s Congressional delegation to vote in favor of the unpopular $1.3 Trillion Omnibus bill that passed in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate last week and was signed by President Trump.

Congressman Young also discussed the Stress Act, a bill to address an increase of suicides among farmers, President Trump’s tariff proposal, the recent tax cuts, and what he’s hearing around Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District as he comes home to listen to constituents.
